with opportunities for fun, health, and social happenings. However, if you are
moving from out-of-state, you may need a little bit of guidance on discovering
all the great things your new city has to offer.
To help you uncover all of the fun activities for the active
adult community in South Florida, our 55-plus community specialist, Wilma
Pinstein, has put together a list of destinations that offer everything you’ve
been looking for in retirement.

flops, and head out on the sand for some relaxation and sun. Not the lounging
type? Head to the beach in the early morning hours for a brisk stroll and catch
a breathtaking sunrise.
Explore the Palm
Beach Zoo – Located off Summit Boulevard, the Palm Beach Zoo is one of the
county’s most popular attractions. The zoo is home to over 700 animals that
come from all over the world. Our active adultcommunity specialist, Wilma Pinstein, suggests avoiding the crowds and
heading to the zoo early on a weekday. Parking is free and admission is $17.50
for seniors aged 60 and older. However, if you sign up your community group,
you can receive a group rate of $12.75 per person.
Catch a show at the
Kravis Center – The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is located in
Downtown West Palm Beach and brings several of the most famous broadways,
plays, and other shows to its stage. If you are interested in spending more
time at the Kravis Center and have a passion for the performing arts, become a
part of the extensive volunteer program. By doing so, you join the active adult
community in South Florida that takes part in theater administration,
hospitality, education, retail, tour guides, ushering and more!

Botanical Garden – Take a day and discover the beautiful gardens of Mounts
Botanical Garden. The diverse exhibits include the butterfly garden, rainbow
